Story Behind the Drawing

An excerpt from The Daily Current, Greater Pacific Edition:

Calling all bookweeds!

Do you have a passion for reading? Do you enjoy good company and even better seaweed snacks?

Then, dear reader, it is with great pleasure that we invite you to join Sir Elias Mundy’s Society for Bookweeds. Sir Mundy is one of the greatest and most prolific authors of our time. In fact, he has been known to work on eight novels at one time, thanks to his multiple appendages. Now, he is embarking on a new adventure to share his love of language, words, and intricate undersea plots with you.

The Society’s first meeting will be held June 1st at Barnacle Books and Saltwater Tea, located at 10.5357, -160.0101, approximately 96 meters below the surface. Please RSVP so that we know how many seaweed rolls to have on fin.
