Mr. Ichabod's Winter Portrait
This drawing was originally created in pen and ink.
Story Behind the Drawing
Meet Mr. Ichabod, a seven-inch tall owl with large amber eyes known for his quick-witted and amiable personality. Mr. Ichabod enjoys many things: a good game of chess, apple crumble topping, and sleeping in old clocks to name a few. However, nothing compares to his love of winter, when the nights become longer, the air becomes crisper, and he is can finally wear his favorite scarves. This year, he had his portrait painted to commemorate the season. “While there are a good many things one can learn from a portrait, there are even more things that one can remember.” He plans to hang the portrait in his library, next to a pile of books waiting to be read by fire light on cold, snowy nights.
