Story Behind the Drawing
Life moves slowly for this heron, who is the caretaker of the Bayou of the Three Suns. Its waters and mossy vines follow him wherever he goes. Though his swamp is mysterious and eerie, the sun shines through the overgrowth in three different locales. (Once, I asked the heron why there are three suns, to which he replied, "It ensures that the day never ends or begins, it is always everlasting. Plus, it allows me extra light for catching fish!'")
