Story Behind the Drawing

The Day Doorkeeper is a rabbit who guards the door to the Day / Life. He holds the key to the door in his paws and is surrounded by indications of life and movement — running waterfalls, butterflies, Morning Glory flowers, and flaming candles. His counterpart is the Night Doorkeeper, the rabbit who guards the door to the Night / Death.
