Story Behind the Drawing

During the cold winter months, many bees enjoy living in apiaries constructed from wood to keep themselves warm and toasty. However, during the summer months, many bees seek out something a little more vibrant: a place full of flowers. In particular, they love native apiaries, or homes constructed from dried flowers and grass stalks. These apiaries have small openings and gaps through which fresh wildflowers, such as asters and forget-me-nots, can grow all summer long.
