Story Behind the Drawing
"Rabbit Vignette" (Circa 1830, March Hare Period): This small portrait, which was discovered in the attic of a nesting home,  is one of the only surviving relics of the famous March Hare Family. The March Hares are known for popularizing vine-portraits (now called vignettes), which feature family members in their finest collars surrounded by twisting leaves.
