Story Behind the Drawing

The Kingfisher is the fourth drawing in my bird series. These drawings focus on different bird species and the mood that each bird inspires. Kingfishers live near creeks or streams, where they dive for fish. Thanks to mythology, they are often associated with nostalgia for the past. In this piece, the kingfisher sits in a lotus leaf with a greek temple, clock, and underwater mountains around him.
