What is haven to a hummingbird?
Haven is fresh flowers full of sweet, earthy nectar.
It is open fields with plenty of space to zip, zoom, and glide.
It is persimmon trees and vines in which to hide.
It is rainfall and warmth, the sun shining bright.
It is baby birds learning to be strong and wise.
It is the place they come back to year after year.
It is home and joy, sanctuary and peace.
Haven is never forgotten even in the tiniest of dreams.
